silicone drum heaters

Silicone drum heaters are made of layers of fiberglass reinforced silicone rubber sheets. When these sheets are vulcanized and bonded under heat and pressure, they form a material that can withstand industrial rough usage, and is highly flexible, durable and tough. Prior to vulcanization, the electrical resistance wire web and its protective metallic grid (which acts as an electrical ground) are carefully placed between the silicone layers. National heaters silicone drum heaters are resistant to most chemicals, fungus and moisture, and can be easily cleaned. The temperature is controlled by adjustable thermostat (24°-100°C)

When liquids are stored in drums or pails, maintaining a viscosity or certain temperature is often necessary. Examples are adhesives, mastics, resins, grease, paint, oils and many liquid food products. Where external heating is required or preferred, flexible Silicone Rubber Drum Heaters can keep these materials at proper handling or process consistencies. A spring-hook arrangement easily attaches these items to standard 5, 15, 30 or 55 gallon steel drums. Even heat transfer limits scorching or degradation of sensitive materials. Optional molded-in thermostats are full range adjustable or have fixed settings.
